Greetings to Members of the 2020 Indiana Annual Conference,

Today I met with leaders of the Indiana Conference to discuss how we continue our commitment to plan and move forward with an abundance of caution for the 2020 Annual Conference Session on August 15. We intend to be faithful to our values and “Do No Harm, Do Good, and Stay in Love with God.”

The current reality requires us to make another adjustment to the plans for the 2020 Indiana Annual Conference Session on August 15. Indiana is now experiencing an uptick in COVID-19 cases across the state, and the number of members registering for some of the regional sites is not sufficient to support.

Therefore, we are moving forward by discontinuing 6 regional sites while keeping 4, in addition to the Indiana Wesleyan University site. Each of the sites has a limited number of people who can be present to maximize mandated safe social distancing.

The 4 regional sites will be: LaPorte First, Indianapolis Christ, Wesley Chapel Floyds Knobs, and College Avenue. If you were registered for one of the discontinued sites, you will be contacted so that we may assist you as you discern the best option for you to connect to the Annual Conference Session.

I ask that you continue to pray for all who are leading us as an Annual Conference. I am grateful for the wisdom of leading with an abundance of caution. I believe in the powerful presence of God who is at the center of what we do. Let us pray together that we honor our covenant with God and each other as we discern ways to do the work we have been called to do.

Shalom,

Cindy Reynolds
