Greetings,
The second session of the 2020 Indiana Annual Conference is October 10, 2020. Your Annual Conference Sessions Team has been working to make this second plenary effective and efficient.
This session will be fully virtual. All members shall connect and participate from their own computers or devices. Once again, we will be using GNTV to host the webinar. Registered voting members will be sent the webinar link a few days prior to October 10.
The session will be live streamed so that guests may watch. A link to the live stream will be posted on the Indiana Conference website prior to October 10 at inumc.org.
The October 10 session begins at 9:30 a.m. EST [8:30 a.m. CST] with the Celebration of Life Service. We will honor and remember those who have completed their earthly ministry and now reside in the eternal presence of God. We will also have a special time to honor and remember Bishop Mike Coyner.
The plenary will begin at 11:00 a.m. EST [10:00 a.m. CST]. We ask that you connect to the webinar no later than 10:50 a.m. EST [9:50 a.m. CST] to attend a training so that you know how to fully participate. The training will cover voting and using the Q&A feature.
The agenda includes completing the work that began on August 15. We will care for the following reports: Rules and Structure, Nominations, Board of Trustees, Blue Ribbon Task Team, Resolutions, and adopt the 2021 Indiana Conference budget. In addition, we will celebrate our legacy churches, hear from the oldest living Elder in the Indiana Conference and learn more from Children Matter Most. We will also be blessed to hear our Bishop present an Episcopal Address.
There will be a lunch break at 12:30 p.m. EST [11:30 a.m. CST]. It is our hope to conclude this plenary session no later than 3:00 p.m. (EST) [2:00 p.m. CST].
You will receive more information in the weeks to come. If you have questions, feel free to send them to ac.questions@inumc.org.
I would ask that you be intentional about praying for our Bishop, our Conference leaders, and for the October 10 session of the Indiana Annual Conference. May God lead us and may all we do bring glory to God’s Kingdom.
Shalom,
Cindy Reynolds
