Bishop’s Operational Team

Episcopal Services

Episcopal Services is the ministry hub for our bishop as they serve the Church in honoring our history and guiding us into our future. The bishop serves as a General Superintendent to the Global Church and as the chief missional strategist of the Indiana Conference to advance the mission and provide spiritual leadership to United Methodists throughout the Conference. The ministry of the Office of the Bishop connects at every level of the Conference and is embodied in the areas caring for each local church, the Connection, the brotherhood and sisterhood of our clergy, as well as our ministry families.

Conference Superintendents (The Appointive Cabinet)

Conference Superintendents are members of the Extended Cabinet and exist to serve as the missional strategists disbursed throughout Indiana to our districts to support, encourage, equip and coach local churches, laity, and clergy in engaging the missional field. Conference Superintendents are an extension of the ministry of the bishop and work to know the gifts and graces of the clergy to best match them with the missional needs of our churches and the communities throughout Indiana through collaboration at the Extended Cabinet with our core ministry area leaders to strategize:
  • mission opportunities “glocally” (both global and locally),
  • revitalization and planting of churches,
  • the discovery, development, deployment of leaders,
  • and financial well-being of churches.
