To Leaders and Churches across the Indiana Conference,
In the midst of a seemingly never-ending global pandemic, you are finding creative ways to remain in vibrant ministry in your local church. We give thanks to God for you and your efforts on behalf of the kingdom. But, unfortunately, the pandemic is far from over and the creativity and energy we have all utilized may be running on empty. That is why Bishop Trimble has assembled a panel of medical professionals from IU Health for a free Town Hall Webinar on November 16, 2020, 1:30-3:00 p.m. ET.

COVID-19: Leading Your Congregation in These Unique Times
As Bishop Trimble prepares to lead this conversation most effectively to address ways to lead in this challenging environment of COVID-19, he invites your assistance. Every day you work on the front lines. You see how this global pandemic has affected your community and your church. It is your questions that are of critical importance. So we are inviting you to share your questions ahead of time so that we can address as many of them as possible.
We want to hear from you about these, too:
- How are you doing as a church?
- How are you hanging on?
- What have you discovered that works in your context?
You are invited to tell us your church’s story. In addition, you may have discovered some innovative new practices or even time-tested traditions that have kept your church functioning.
Submit any questions and/or stories to Darlene White at darlene.white@inumc.org. They must be received no later than November 11, 2020.
We also want to thank you for your consistent hard work for the kingdom. The work you are doing and will do has eternal ramifications. Hang in there. Don’t give up. As you consider this invitation, also consider the critical words of Bishop Trimble for this time especially, “Be encouraged!”
