Bishop Trimble Offers Prayer and Encouragement
In a recent message, Bishop Trimble offers a word of encouragement in light of an announcement by President Trump on Sunday to extend federal social distancing guidelines to April 30, 2020. Until then, social gatherings, including worship services, are discouraged.
The bishop offers prayers for first responders, medical personnel, and the families of those impacted by the novel Coronavirus. He also offers prayer for staff and residents at the Otterbein Senior Life nursing home in Franklin, which recently reported that ten people have contracted the virus.
The bishop encourages United Methodists to “Do all that we can to continue to do no harm, to do as much good as we can, and stay in love with God and with each other.”
