Good News!
You may remember that Indiana Friends of Africa University received a Challenge Grant about two years ago of $30,000 which we were to match within three years to help with the further development of the Small Farm Resource Center adjacent to the Africa University campus. It provides education and guidance to the AU students who are studying agriculture on campus and an opportunity for the students to share their learning with farmers in the area who desire that assistance.
After two years, the churches of the Indiana Conference have raised just over $22,000 which puts it “on track” to meet the matching goal by the end of 2020. Thanks to all the individuals and groups who have made this possible.
Please tell the story of the Small Farm Resource Center to your churches and encourage them to send financial support of any amount to help complete the challenge. Funds may be sent to the Indiana Conference with regular monthly contributions, specifically marked for Africa University/SFRC, as it is abbreviated. This project is often of special interest to Sunday School Classes and other small groups as well as individuals. Working together, the goal will be met.
