United Methodists are invited to an anti-racism webinar with Dr. Wornie Reed on Sunday, October 18 starting at 5:00 p.m (EST).
Reed is a professor of Sociology and Africana Studies, as well as the Director of Race and Social Policy Resource Center at Virginia Tech University. He has authored book such as, Racial Profiling: Causes and Consequences (2011); Handbook of African American Health (2011); Blacks in Tennessee: Past and Present (2008). The event will include an introduction by Bishop Trimble, a moment of prayer, Dr. Reed’s talk about anti-racism, followed by an opportunity for participants to ask questions via the Zoom chat.
