JOHN DAVID ABBOTT, JR., 77, of Indianapolis, IN, retired Elder who was serving as Pastor of Prayer and Discipleship at Center United Methodist Church, passed away on April 1, 2022.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 7, 2022, from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at G. H. Herrmann Greenwood Funeral Home at The Gardens of Olive Branch, 1605 South State Road 135, Greenwood, IN 46143. Additional visitation will be held on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. at Center United Methodist Church, 5445 Bluff Road, Indianapolis, IN 46217.
John is survived by his wife, LeAnn; children, Donna (James) Raff, Marsha (Mike) Gomez, Lauren Abbott; future son-in-law, Daniel Austin; grandchildren, Brayden Gomez, Zachary Gomez, Alexis Gomez, Trevor Raff, Ashton Johnson, and Ava Austin; brother, Dr. Kenneth (JoAnn) Abbott; and many brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Center United Methodist Church, or Centered Around Christ Homeless Ministry.
