JAMES ROBERT (BOB) ARMSTRONG, 73, of Wabash, Indiana, a retired part-time local pastor of the Indiana Conference, died Wednesday, July 13, 2011, at Wabash. A memorial service was held at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Ave., Wabash, on July 16, with the Rev. Richard Borgman officiating. Burial was in the Memorial Lawns Cemetery in Wabash. Armstrong was a member of the Lagro United Methodist Church for 50 years, serving in all offices of the church for 40 years, working with youth, and was an adult Sunday school teacher for 20 years. Survivors include: wife, Carolyn Armstrong of Wabash; three nephews, Todd Burgess of Huntington, Terry Burgess of Marion and Tom Crull of Roann; niece, Brenda Conner of Wabash; great-nephew, Cameron Ables of Hungtinton; great-niece, Kyleigh Burgess of Marion.
