HAROLD LEE PFRANG, 82, retired business manager/treasurer of the former South Indiana Conference of The United Methodist Church (1976-1991), died Friday, Dec. 31, 2010. He was a member of Honey Creek United Methodist Church in Greenwood, Ind. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 4 from 3 to 7 p.m. at Day Funeral Home, 4150 East Third Street, in Bloomington, Ind. A memorial service is scheduled for 3 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 6 in the chapel at the Franklin United Methodist Community, 1070 West Jefferson Street in Franklin, Ind., with the Rev. Brad Miller, pastor at Honey Creek UMC and the Rev. David Mark Owens, chaplain at the Franklin Community officiating. A gathering at the Franklin United Methodist Community will be held following the service. Burial will be on Monday, Jan. 10 at 1 p.m. (CT) at the Mt. Emblem Cemetery in Elmhurst, Ill. Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Carl and Constance Pfrang, of Westfield; one daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Gary Arvin, of Bloomington; four granddaughters and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, Keith Pfrang, on May 22, 2010, and his wife, Shirley, who died June 22, 2008.
