AUDRA K. PINER of Muncie, 92, United Methodist laywoman well-known for her mission work locally, nationally and around the world, died on Saturday, Nov.6, 2010. Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 10 at the Garden of Memories, 10501 N. State Road 3, (north of SR 28), Muncie. A memorial service is scheduled for 11 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 11 at Gethsemane United Methodist Church, 1201 W. McGalliard Street in Muncie, with burial in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Visitation also will be one hour before the service. Survivors include: children, Stephen D. Piner of Fla., Janet Beemer of Fla, and Darlene K. Dyke of N.C. and New Zealand ‘daughter’ Pamela Tankersly; grandchildren, Scott Piner, Chandra Jordan, Tashalee Newport and Amy Steverson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Piner; son, Charles Eugene Piner; brother, Buddy; and sisters, Vera Rankin, Thelma Ford and Marjorie York.
