OPAL JUNE (HASLER) SOLIDAY of Lyons,95, mother-in-law of the Rev. David V.W. Owen, executive assistant to the bishop, died Wednesday, May 16, 2012. Visitation will be held Friday, May 18, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Lester Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home, 110 South Walnut Street in Lyons (on State Road 67) in Lyons. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 19, with visitation one hour before the service at Lyons United Methodist Church, 110 North Walnut Street (State Road 67) in Lyons, Ind., with the Revs. David V.W. Owen and Rose Sparks officiating. The church is across the street from the funeral home. Interment will follow in Prairie Chapel Cemetery in rural Lyons. Survivors include: son, Ted (Susie) Soliday of Lyons; daughters, Lou Ann (Gary) Andis of Hillsdale and June (David V.W.) Owen of Indianapolis; one daughter-in-law, Dorothy Soliday of Worthington; grandsons, Dan Soliday of Kettering, Ohio, Tim Soliday of Spencer, Barry Soliday of Farmer City, Ill. and Scott Andis of Martinsville; granddaughters, Tracy Soliday of Salem, Kelly McKee and Stacy Soliday both of Stonington, Ill., Nancy Fay of New Market, Md., Christy Priebe of Waynesville, Ohio, Sharon Davidson of Bloomfield and Jewellyn Andis of Clinton; and 20 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jewell W. Soliday, son, Richard Lee Soliday, Memorial contributions may be made to Glenburn Memory Garden, 618 W.
