The ability of your church to accomplish the mission “to make disciples of Jesus Christ” is in direct correlation to the strength of your Staff Parish Relations Team. These training events will cover the following topics:
- Expectations and responsibilities of the SPRT
- Creating and maintaining unity in the church
- The process of outlining yearly expectations and strategic planning
- Job descriptions, Employee Handbooks, and evaluations
- Boundaries and sexual misconduct awareness and protocol
- and much more!
We will offer the SAME training twice, but the first is for PASTORS ONLY and the second for LAITY ONLY. Evaluations from past events have indicated that honest questions and conversations have been limited at times when the pastor and team members have been at the same table. Additionally, the facilitator would like to emphasize some areas of the training for pastors or other information more as they pertain to the lay members of the team.

Upon registration, you will receive the SPRT Handbook that will be covered during the training. Please plan to download your own copy or take notes on your preferred electronics.
COST: In lieu of a registration fee, it is requested that each registrant brings to the training a household item (toilet paper, paper plates, napkins, paper towels, soap, etc.) to support Terre Haute’s Friendship House. Support of the Friendship House will enrich the lives of the residents and community and is greatly appreciated.
