In this short video message, Bishop Trimble encourages us to live out our faith in all aspects of our life throughout the Lenten season by sharing from Matthew 4;

Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. He fasted forty days and forty nights, and afterwards he was famished. The tempter came and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, command these stones to become loaves of bread.” But he answered, “It is written,
‘One does not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God." – Matthew 4: 1-4 (NRSV)

This Lenten season, Bishop Trimble invites you to:

  • Pray intentionally;
  • Find time of intentional fasting; and
  • Look out for the most vulnerable of our citizens, particularly the hungry.
Throughout these next 40 days may you not only give something up but prayerfully consider taking on something new.

Be encouraged,

Bishop Julius C. Trimble
