Camp scholarship dollars for this coming year were exhausted April 7, 2016. This is the earliest timeframe for which scholarship dollars have ever been depleted. Scholarships are a crucial tool that allow IMPACT 2818 to partner with the local church for youth to experience evangelism, discipleship, and exploration of their calling through church camp.

The 2016 budget year presented a significant challenge as the local church tithe dollars, that support of the conference camping ministry, were reduced by over $150,000. After making changes to staffing and operations, the scholarship budget line item was also reduced by $25,000 in order to provide a balanced budget for sustainability & stewardship.

The 2015 summer saw 497 Campers receiving full or partial INUMC/Impact 2818 scholarships totaling $127,044.22.

Projections for the remainder of 2016 include 200 campers who will need scholarship support in order to hear the gospel and pursue their discipleship journey at church camp.

If your church has the potential or the passion to expand Kingdom Results through camping, please consider making a donation to Impact 2818 scholarships to help these campers attend camp. Donations can be made online at impact2818.org/help or can be mailed to: INUMC, Attn: Camp Scholarships, 301 Pennsylvania Parkway; Suite 300, Indianapolis, IN 46280.
