INDIANAPOLIS–March 7, 2017–Rev, a Methodist Health Foundation event, presented by Fifth Third Bank, is excited to announce that US Foods chef Penny Davidi and Food Network Star Malcolm Mitchell have joined the event’s growing list of featured talent.

Kicking off the Month of May at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Rev is a fun night of music and entertainment while mingling with Verizon IndyCar Series drivers and racing legends. Its mission is to raise funds and awareness for Indiana University Health statewide trauma programs, including those who provide care for drivers and patrons at the Indiana University Health Emergency Medical Center of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Davidi, a California native and mother of two, grew up learning the art of cooking from the women in her family and used that as inspiration for her innovative recipes. “Being a mother and a TV personality, it is very important to me that my children see that what I do is so much more than just cooking on TV,” said Davidi. “Any time I can give back to a community, a charity or a cause, I am thrilled to do it. When given a talent you have to, in addition to taking care of your own needs, do things to better the world, however that may be.”

Davidi will concoct driver-inspired cuisine alongside Food Network Star Season 8 finalist Mitchell, who is returning for his third year supporting Rev. A “classically trained chef with an urban touch,” Mitchell turned his passion for cooking and entertaining into a career as a personal chef and caterer for sports teams, politicians and entertainers. “I’m thrilled to be part of this wonderful event for a third year,” said Mitchell. “This is one of the biggest parties with a purpose that I’ve ever been part of, and I’m proud to support Indiana University Health trauma programs.”

This year’s event will take place Saturday, May 6 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. For the full 2017 Rev restaurant list, ticket information and sponsorship information, visit revindy.org.
