The room was filled with energy and enthusiasm as participants in Earthkeeping 2017 heard about the importance of caring for God’s creation. The event, sponsored by the Creation Care Alliance of the Indiana United Methodist Church drew over 70 people from across Indiana and gathered at North United Methodist Church in Indianapolis. During the conference, attendees heard from three noted theologians, Dr. Timothy Eberhart, Rev. Katie Dawson, and Dr. Timothy Van Meter on the importance of environmental holiness.
"We were highly encouraged by the number of people in attendance who wanted to start green teams at their churches," said Eric Galloway, one of the organizers of the event.
The Creation Care Alliance has more activities in the planning stages to help churches with conservation and being environmentally friendly.
