INDIANAPOLIS – The Rev. Dr. Aleze Fulbright, Director of Leadership Development, is pleased to announce that Emily Krach will serve as the new Associate Director of Leadership Development – Emerging Leaders for the Indiana Conference of The United Methodist Church effective July 1, 2017.

In this role, Krach will assist in accomplishing the mission of Leadership Development, by discovering, developing, and deploying fruitful emerging leaders.

Krach’s primary responsibilities will include supporting those who serve in the areas of children, youth, and young adult ministries, overseeing the Student Leadership Academy, establishing a stronger College/Campus Ministries connection, and facilitating an Emerging Youth Leadership Team (CCYM). She will also continue to work collaboratively with the Director of Leadership Development to realize the vision of Leadership Development and fulfill the mission of the Indiana Conference.

Fulbright remarked, “Through the discernment process for the Indiana Conference’s Realignment, I began praying to ensure we had the right people, in the right seat, to help move the mission of leadership development forward.”

“While in the process of prayer, I began noticing Emily’s passion for and strong commitment to emerging leaders, and their contribution to the world today and tomorrow,” stated Fulbright. “She has also demonstrated exceptional service alongside the Board of Laity throughout the past year.”

Fulbright continued, “this shift in her responsibilities, to greater live out her call in a fuller way, is a win for the Indiana Conference and God’s Kin-dom!”

Krach shared, “I am excited for this opportunity to live out my call and passion for the next generation of leaders. I am equally excited to see how we can begin empowering, equipping, and utilizing these emerging leaders within the Indiana Conference.”

“I will also enjoy the ways we will prepare these emerging leaders of today to use their gifts for God’s glory in becoming more fruitful leaders who will lead the Church into future generations.”

Originally from Fort Wayne, Ind., Krach has spent the last year serving as the Associate Director of Leadership Development-Laity, and prior to that, fifteen years serving as the Director of Youth Ministry for First United Methodist Church in Saline, Mich. Krach received a Bachelor of Science in Youth Ministry from Huntington University. As her passion for leadership development grew, Krach obtained a Masters of Organizational Leadership from Indiana Wesleyan University.
